A New Way to Manage Tinnitus
Hampstead Hearing now offers Lenire®, a clinically tested treatment designed to help people who are struggling with tinnitus.
Rather than masking the noise, Lenire® works to retrain the brain’s response to tinnitus — and it can be used conveniently at home under professional guidance.

How Lenire® helps
Lenire® is a CE-certified, non-invasive medical device prescribed by a qualified hearing professional. It uses a technique called dual-mode neuromodulation to reduce the prominence of tinnitus.
During treatment:
-
You listen to customised sound therapy through wireless headphones
-
At the same time, the Tonguetip® delivers gentle pulses to the tongue
-
This paired stimulation encourages the brain to gradually tune out tinnitus
Most patients complete two 30-minute sessions daily for a minimum of 10 weeks, making it straightforward to build into your routine at home.
What comes with the device?
Lenire® is made up of three key parts:
-
Tonguetip® – a soft mouthpiece that provides mild electrical stimulation
-
Controller – a handheld unit used to manage volume, timing and intensity
-
Wireless headphones – deliver personalised sound matched to your hearing
Clinical results at a glance
Lenire® has been evaluated in studies involving more than 600 participants. Reported outcomes include:
-
86.2% of compliant users showed improvement after 12 weeks
-
91% maintained benefits at 12 months
-
Average reduction of 20.3 points on the Tinnitus Handicap Inventory (THI)
As with any tinnitus therapy, results can vary, which is why professional assessment is essential before starting treatment.
